What is Wudang?

Wudangshan is a mountain in Hubei, China, and is known as the birthplace of Tai-chi. It is registered as a World Heritage of UNESCO in 1994, based on the fact that many important Taoist temples which were built by the emperors of the past dynasties exist there.. Taoism is the oldest philosophy in the history of China, which makes it the backbone of its civilization in terms of philosophy, medicine, art, literature etc. Also, this place is well known as the legendary training place of the historical hero, Zhuge Liang, also well known from the movie “Records of the Three Kingdoms.”
